On Oct 2, my parents gained a daughter-in-law when my youngest brother held his wedding and registered his marriage. Congratulations to Jonathan and Meiling! Welcome to the family! The wedding lunch and ceremony were splendidly planned, organised and executed.
When I was sitting at the reception area waiting for guests to arrive, I kinda realised that a wedding is like a play where the script is written for the people attending while the bride and groom are merely the lead actors. The director? The wedding planner I guess :p
Allow me to phrase again what I wrote in the wedding website: Marriage is a life-long marathon which I am confident you will help each other along any pains and cramps. All the best in the world for you...

To live an optimal life...
I saw the following writings on a friend's facebook wall post:
人生最遗憾 : 人死了,钱没花完。
人生最痛苦 : 钱花完了,人没死。
and I am inspired not to live my life as it is but to live it to the fullest. Of course, a friend remarked that these words are true only with all responsibilities to the people around me taken care of. And with that, I no longer think my life should revolve around just home and work but to enjoy living.
I have decided to see how far I can see this world with my own eyes. I shall be embarking on a journey soon...

[Read off an email] Slow Dance
I was clearing my mailbox the other day and found this email with a beautiful poem:
Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round? Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's Erratic flight? Or gazed at the sun Into the fading night? You better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. Do you run through each day On the fly? When you ask How are you? Do you hear the reply? When the day is done Do you lie in your bed With the next hundred chores Running through your head? You'd better slow down Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow? And in your haste, Not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die Cause you never had time To call and say,'Hi' You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. When you run so fast To get somewhere You miss half the fun Of getting there. When you worry and Hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away. Life is not a race. Do take it slower Hear the music Before the song is over.
